The Los Angeles Dodgers obtained themselves a well-needed bat yesterday as they signed 12-year veteran J.D. Martinez to a one-year $10 million contract.

The 35-year-old is coming off an All-Star season with the Boston Pink Sox, the place he was the DH for all 139 video games he performed.
